I at first thought this thread was going to be about the ghosts of Hogwarts! I would love to know what some of the ghost plots were-I remember the "late in life magic doer" that never materialized-I was so intrigued by that idea and I guess I secretly hoped it would be Mrs Figg. And I wonder if there were ever ghost plots for some of the ghosts, particularly (for me anyway) Hufflepuff's Fat Friar. I remember before book 7 came out something was said about us learning more about the spouses of Hogwarts teachers-I wonder if this too could have been one of her ghost plots.

I thought that too... more info about the house ghosts.... nope.
I've always wanted to know more of the background on how they came to die and how they lived when they were alive. I know in Deathly Hallows, we learn more about the Gray Lady (Ravenclaw).
I still have not read ALL of the extra content that I will eventually post on here from Pottermore, but I THINK there might have been something about the Fat Friar. I don't know. Now I want to go look it up.
I'm not sure if it was stated in the books or over at Pottermore about Slytherin's ghost. If it's on pottermore, I'll get to that post when I find it. I don't know what book she left us this little gem. Still, it might have been in the DH book itself.
...
I do recall back in the old days the term "Ghost Plot" and now I see where I read/heard it from. I just totally forgot until I saw this.
....
Yeah, I too wanted to know so badly about the teachers spouses. I think she might have answered that in an interview AFTER the books all came out. I think it was one of the things she misled us about. But please don't quote me on that. I've recently been looking over many of her interviews. If I do come across that particular tid-bit, I'll post it on this thread. Yeah! I'm cracking my knuckles and diving in to refreshen my Potter memory.
