why do nifflers steal shiny things? Oh you see, it is like this. When nifflers are birthed and that sure is a disgusting sight indeed in itself. Well, it is up to the Grand Nifflers on the father's side of the family to give a shiney new coin to their grandchild. It is a truly sad, sad situation indeed because the mothers parents always have very sticky fingers and 9 times out of 10, they will steel the poor little baby nifflers shiny new coin while they are asleep. For the rest of their adult lives, they are always in search of that original shiny coin, stealing everything shiny that comes their way, just in case it is the coin that was taken from them at birth. Forever more, nifflers will continue their search and ultimately at least of these very nifflers will steal their own Grand baby nifflers coin too. A terrible situation to perpetuate indeed. What is a Hogwart failed student called?  OK! I HAVE to say something here... (or ask) Have you been hanging around with someone on my mother's side of the family? LOL! My great granddaddy used to give EVERY BOY baby a brand new silver dollar when they were born. My mom being one of 6 girls only had 1 brother. Then he gave them to my generation as well. ME being the ONLY girl born and a ton of boy cousins. I didn't get one. My little brother did. My mom asked him where his went. HEY I DON'T KNOW! But he's been chasing that coin ever since.

Snape's patronus was a "Silver" doe because Hogwarts does not pay it's teachers well. Alas Poor Severus could never have afforded a "Gold" doe so he was forced to settle for a "Silver" one instead.
