I'd have to say Snape and Dumbledore.
Really, I think it would be amazing to have been one of Dumbledore's students back when he used to teach Transfigurations. I wonder if I would have been good at it.
Funny though... Over at Pottermore, my wand says about me that I would do very well in Charms. In real life I'd LOVE that.
However... since I'm in Slytherin... and probably would be if this was real... Snape's class would be hard for me since I'm horrible at cooking. But that is the subject matter of POTIONS. Hey.. I only set one of my kitchen skillets on fire this year.. that's a good thing right? Still, I'm one who does well with a teacher who pushes like he does. He's not nice, but often it's enough to want to make a person like that proven wrong would be lighting the fire within me to make me WANT to try harder.
But I also feel the same way as JB. I've always used the word Yummy when describing Alan Rickman's portrayal.

My top 3 favorite characters are Snape, Hagrid and Dumbledore-all teachers. But as a teacher only, I'd say McGonagall. She had a wonderful knowledge of her subject, being an Animagi was a plus. She was strict but could also be kind, remarkably loyal to her students and school, and I believe anyone who took her class she would never give up on them until they learned that subject.
