Ghosts.... OH the thrills and chills they give us.
This is the place where you could share your own experiences with ghosts. Or it could be a place where we simply tell those tales we've heard before. No matter if the story be true or made up I still love the thrill of getting goosebumps from hearing about it.
At Hogwarts we find out that there are lots of ghosts around. Not just the House Ghosts.. but ones who haunt the toilets. Others at the Deathday party for Nearly Headless Nick. When we read that part of Chamber of Secrets, we hear of all who haunts that neck of the woods. Some I've always thought deemed worthy of a ghostly discussion or two. Why not discuss them here?
I love ghost stories in books.... even those in films or on TV. Any fanfic writers could also decide to post their haunting tale here if they wish to.
Bottom line.... This is a ghost thread to talk all about ghosts of all sorts. I'll begin with a post here in just a minute. Not so much a ghost story... but one connected to them.

Some of my favorite TV shows are the different Ghost Hunters series. . I really have not been keeping up with them lately but catching them if I happen to be flipping channels. Not too long ago, they made an announcement that Grant will be leaving the show. for those of you who are not familiar with this show, Grant is one of the two main guys who created the show. Who was one of the two original creators of TAPS. Anyway, they are making a point of trying to get people to watch his final few episodes.
The other night, I tuned in. When it came on I noticed something that seemed awfully familiar. They went to Bube's Brewery restaurant and hotel. It's located in Pennsylvania. This is the synopsis of that episode:
.
Well, the funny thing... back MANY years ago when I first made friends over at the WB.. My very first Harry Potter friend group. Well, we got to be so close... spending most every night, staying up till one in the mornings (getting online about 9 or 10 pm after we put the kids to bed.) talking, discussing, role playing Harry Potter.
Eventually, we left the WB to go to an Alan Rickman fansite. Some of the members had the chance to go visit other members. Some had chance to even fly here to the states and vice versus, just to spend their vacations together. We had the privledge of watching people grow. Some young teens come into their own. One young adult entered into motherhood. Some we watched them graduate school and go off to college and find the first place of their very own. We even kept track of some members as they trekked across several states just to make sure that person made it safely to the other members home. We all decided that we were going to have a yearly moot. I did have the chance to go to one of them. You all here might recall me mentioning several times over the past years about much of this.
The reason I am placing this story here, this Bube's restaurant was one that three of us enjoyed an interesting dinner/evening. See, there were no windows. The restaurant was located downstairs in catacombs below. We had a ball. It was a perfect setting... the perfect ambiance for three people who met at a Harry Potter website of witches and wizardry to sit down and really get to know each other better. Now the place had a feel about it, but I chalked that up to the fact we were eating in a catacomb.... the stone walls beneath the hotel and pub above. The candles were lit and the conversations were spoken softly for voices echoed easily. Watching this episode brought back fond memories of my friends back then... and how green I was back in my early Harry Potter days of discovery.
I did have to crack up watching the team go to a place named like this. ;D
