Alright, we have all seen this thread before.. but this time I'm going to put up a little twist. First, I've had this thread there in the back of my mind for some time now. I thought it was about time I get off my duff and add it to our Quibbler Magazine.
There are always questions that we fans would love to ask JKR if we ever had the chance. Or things we would just love to say to her... This is the place to post them. This time I'm going to add a little twist. We also can post a little trivia about JKR as we feel like it. OK... so I'm cheating.
See, the other day, my hubby kicked me out of the house. He thought I spent too much time in the house and wanted me to just GO somewhere. (I'm really tired of going places so I really just wanted to finally get to stay home and read a good book or post here since my chores were finished. He knew this too. Yes, I stick my tongue out at him. LOL.) Anyway, I knew my daughter needed some play clothes. Although, she's nearly 14 years old, she still plays in the mud. The other day, I had some time getting her to take off her favorite pair of shorts so i could wash them... good grief. So after running some errands, I stopped at Good Will. I remember they have old clothes that you won't care if they get muddy or not... so in I went. Funny, I didn't get her any clothes. I noticed in one corner they had a used book section. Two dollars for hardbacks and a dollar for paperbacks. Not too bad. I'm always on the lookout for another of Agatha Christie book.... not that I need one. I never did find any of hers there. Instead I walked out with a treasure.
There in paperback was an Unauthorized biography written by Marc Shapiro. J.K. Rowling The Wizard Behind Harry Potter. I looked inside the back cover... published in 2001. I think this is how I'll spend my day today.
So far, only the fist four books are out and the first movie should be released by the time THIS book hits stores. Wow... you should see JKR. So young. This is bringing back so many memories for me since it was about this time when I first discovered the series... Wait... no! This was before I did. Yes... I know we all know so much about JKR already from TV appearances and countless interviews we've read or watched over the web. Still, they mainly focused in on things from the later dates onward.... This had to be an early book. It's pretty good so far. Makes me want to go back and watch the stuff I"ve recorded about how things got started for her and her creation.
So... in honour of JKR and in perfect timing with her newest announcements... her new non-potter book's name and release date.... her revamped website, that I want to take a peek at soon.... and last but not least, her announcement yesterday of the beginning of the Encyclopedia she's talked about doing someday.... SO cool!
I holds up a nice chilled bottle of pumpkin juice to her... TO JO!
...........
I'll start.....
Dear Jo,
Do you still have any of those little stories you wrote when you were a child, the ones of the bunny? If so, where do you keep them?
