the other house-elves when he came to Hogwarts, sir. It is known by us as the
Come and Go Room, sir, or else as the Room of Requirement!ʹ

ʹBecause it is a room that a person can only enter,ʹ said Dobby seriously, ʹwhen
they have real need of it. Sometimes it is there, and sometimes it is not, but when
it appears, it is always equipped for the seekerʹs needs. Dobby has used it, sir,ʹ
said the elf, dropping his voice and looking guilty, ʹwhen Winky has been very
drunk; he has hidden her in the Room of Requirement and he has found
antidotes to Butterbeer there, and a nice elf-sized bed to settle her on while she
sleeps it off, sir… and Dobby knows Mr Filch has found extra cleaning materials
there when he has run short, sir, and -ʹ
ʹAnd if you really needed a bathroom,ʹ said Harry, suddenly remembering
something Dumbledore had said at the Yule Ball the previous Christmas, ʹwould
it fill itself with chamber pots?ʹ
ʹDobby expects so, sir,ʹ said Dobby, nodding earnestly. ʹIt is a most amazing
room, sir.ʹ
ʹHow many people know about it?ʹ said Harry, sitting up straighter in his chair.
ʹVery few, sir. Mostly people stumbles across it when they needs it, sir, but often
they never finds it again, for they do not know that it is always there waiting to
be called into service, sir.ʹ
ʹIt sounds brilliant,ʹ said Harry, his heart racing. ʹIt sounds perfect, Dobby. When
can you show me where it is?ʹ
ʹAny time, Harry Potter, sir,ʹ said Dobby, looking delighted at Harrys

Duddahs the Great Barn Owl was looking for a nice place to sit down and think when a door appeared and Duddahs just had to go and check it out for himself.
Oh how Duddahs has missed this place and now that it is here and all ours to have fun in, here goes.
There once was a little girl,
Who wore the most perfect little curl
It sat still on her head

There is a friend who sits in the corner,
his eyes are wide,
and he can come to me in a single stride.
He snorts and he drools,
he is rough to the touch.
He eats with no tools
But I still love him so much.
He hides in the dark,
and he sits and he smokes.
But Tobacco has never passed
his lips as he gives me a some pokes.
His eyes do shine,
though dark from within.
He lets out a whine,
as he swipes me with his tail bruising my shin.
Oh I love my dear friend,
for he gives more than he takes.
My friends is a Dragon of course,
Of course for goodness sake.

How wonderful to find the ROR library again, it's been ages since I've been here! I should be going to bed but I think I'll sit in this comfy arm chair and read for a while. Here's a sale catalog from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. And here's a book on Squibs through The Ages and THeir Place In Hogwarts History. These should keep me busy for a while.

Wandering back and forth, back and forth outside in the hall.
Feeling all tied up in knots, she takes the scrunchie out of her hair causing her pony tail to now hang loose. She reaches up and combs her fingers through her hair scratching her scalp...
Oh this feels so much better.
She shakes her head side to side enjoying the feeling of freedom. She spots a glassless window then decides to go forth to it.
Oh there is no breeze. Oh how I could do with some serious.....
A sound startles her, causing her to jump back. The wall transforms. The bricks fade and a large mahogany door slowly appears.
What in the world? She thinks to herself.
With a gentle hand she pushes to see if it is locked. Startled once again that it in fact that it is not only unlocked but opened just a bit with a slight touch.
Why is this here?
She decided to allow her curiousity to get the better of her, then pushes the door further. Taking a peek inside, she can't believe her eyes... the very thought she had in her head was now right before her.
Stepping into the room, the door closes behind her. A chaise lounge. She runs and jumps onto it.
"Ahhhh!" she said with a sigh.
Leaning back, she streches out her legs before her while she folds her hands behind her head. She closes her eyes then takes a deep breath. There is a slight hint of something familiar on the air.
That is it! The scent of the sea salt. It rides the gentle but steady breeze that flows in through the open window. She pulls her fuzzy blanket up to her nestling within it.
Eventually, she decides to look over at the table beside her. There sits a pot of black ink and an brown owl quill. Suddenly, several sheets of blank parchment appear. She raises an eyebrow..
Yes... I know... I need to get a move on things... time to ponder then to write. But it has to be something good this time.... something really good.... Hmm? she wonders while she chews on a fingernail.....

There once was a girl  It lay on her forehead, like a skunk in the road, now dead.  She played with her dress, yes the one her mother did just press. Then played with its bow, Until it unraveled and dropped by her right baby toe. As she bent to retrieve, The bow she had received, As a gift while sitting on Santa's knee, While she bent down her back side could not be perceived, those cute lace undies we should not have see'd.  A blush came to her face,  and out the door did she race. Oh the poor little girl,  with the curliest little curl, did show us so much more, than she ever had before!  |

Oh my feet and my toes.
Ah....
splish, splash, trample, trample, trample. KERPLUNK.
Oh how I love this cold water puddle. I guess I should learn NOT to run around outside on the piping hot stone floor barefoot.
Ah.....
steam rises from the water.

It would be nice to have my own Dragon
I would never be in need of a little red wagon.
We could go outside and play,
and have our friends come over all day.
When evening would come,
and play time was over for some,
Dragon would be here with me to stay.

Thanks duddahs. I was so happy to find one of my favorite Dragon movies on and recorded it. (Dragonslayer) I finally was able to watch it recently. Then just afterwards another one came on... Reign of Fire. I loved that one too. I thought I should come in here and work some more on my Dragon short story of sorts. I had planned on doing so back sometime last year when we were trying to get the short story thread going.... Then here I come in here today and find your little treasure of a dragon tale. Sounds like fun. Made me smile. Thanks. ========= WHOA! DUDDAHS! How did you do that? I've been looking for this room for ages. I thought it was lost for good. I'm so glad you found it. I thought this was fangsfan's Poem thread. ;D Funny how the thing you want this room to be most really turned out to trick me into believing it was just that. Hey! It IS a magical room.  And look! Over there is a huge fluffy chair and a table with ..... what is this? different colors of ink and oh so beautiful quills to choose from. I think I'lll take this roll of empty parchement and see what will flow onto the page.

Oh my Dragons tail has been hanging so low,
he has not been feeling well and why I do not know.
His scales have lost their shine,
though his burning desire is just fine,
he is so stoic that he would never complain or whine.
My Dragon's tail has been hanging very low,
I think I will put on for him a little show.
I will dress up in my wizarding best,
along with Ron, Hermione and all of the rest,
We shall make my poor Dragon feel like a welcome guest.
Then it came to me in a flash,
Down the corridors as quick as I could did I dash.
To the Potion Masters stores did I find,
A brew bottle that would clear a Dragon's mind.
It is green and it is thick,
and it is guaranteed to do the very trick,
to make a Dragon get his Mojo back right quick.
Back to my Dragon I did hurry,
when I ran into a friend, mad and furry.
He told me my Dragon was in need,
a special kind of feed,
so off to his hut he ran with great speed.
Upon his return he gave us his prize,
our mad and hairy friend turned out to be very wise.
My Dragon did eat,
when suddenly a tapping came from his huge feet.
And his tail rose began to bang the floor,
with the happiest of a beat.
My Dragon now smiled wide,
came and snuggled by my side,
as the luster came back to his scaly hide.
My thanks were bestowed upon my mad and hairy friend,
So happy are we all,
The End!

Whoa! Would you look at that! The door is open for me FINALLY!!!! ;D Ok..... now I'm off to fairy tale land. I wander around this room.. Ooo... I see Snow White. She's not so happy with the Queen. Nope. No siree. And over there is Rumplestiltskin. He's missing his son so dearly. I hope they are reunited soon. Oh and there is Belle. She seems so lost. I think I'll follow Red as she scampers off into the Forbidden Forest. I wonder what sites she will see? |

Wow I've finally found the door open and have to leave for dog walking. I just took a peek in and my wonderful ROR library is still there. I'll just put a bookmark in ""The Many Love Potions of Romilda Vane" for later reading.

Just had a visit to the ROR library and found the most amazing book, "Squbbs Are People Too". A history of Squibbs through the ages and the great things they did for the wizarding world. There's a whole chapter on Mrs Figg.

Leaving my book from the virtual vending machine here for others to enjoy-but instead of the usual quiet in the ROR library there's a great commotion today. Yup-it's a full band playing in here-house elves on fiddle, spiders on cymbals, nifflers on harmonica, Cornish pixies on drums, boarhounds(!) on electric guitar, garden gnomes on sax. And dancing around keeping time to it all-you guessed it, hippogriffs from the Hippogriff Hoedown doing their best footwork. Kind of strange to have all this noise in a library but this is the ROR people-anything goes!
