What is a Hufflepuff? "You might belong in Hufflepuff, Where they are just and loyal, Those patient Hufflepuffs are true, And unafraid of toil" —The Sorting HatStudents belonging to this house are known to be hard-working, friendly, loyal, and non-judgmental. It may be that due to their values, Hufflepuffs are not as competitive as the other houses, or are more modest about their accomplishments.

Oh, it's so great to have the Hufflepuff Common room open. Thanks Duddahs! Lemon drops, one of my favorites! I love feather pillows. When we were growing up we always had them, the ones we had were a lot harder than the ones you get now-my sister and I got used to them and never wanted to sleep with anything else. There is a half moon out tonight-bright orange. I guess it must be because it's going to be hot out tomorrow, but I've never seen one quite like it. Maybe it's a wizard's moon!

Oh Fangsfan1,
So glad that you like your new digs... It is really comfy here don't you think?
I remember those Feather pillows.. What is so funny is that I remember that the feathers would work themselves out of the fabric of the pillow and stick you. Then you would pull it out and it would be this tiny white feather with a sharp end.
I have these Tempurpedic pillows that I purchase when I got my Tempurpedic Memory Foam bed earlier this year.
Let me put it this way, C.J. now has my old feather pillows to lay on when he jumps off the bed at night...

Yes, it's so comfy Duddahs, I hope I can come here often. I do remember being stuck by those feathers-that's so funny! My pillow on my bed now is actually one of those old pillows. I have to keep about three pillow cases on it so the feathers won't come out, it's pretty old. My sister took her pillow to college with her. She said when they had pillow fights they all wanted to use her pillow because it was so heavy!

I will tell you this, those memory foam pillows are REAL HEAVY! and I think if one got walloped by one of those, they would know it!

Hi Erin, Duddahs, Miss Charlotte and everyone! Nice to be here tonight and see people have been visiting. I have a question for all who live in or have visited Connecticut. Have any of you ever been to Clyde's Cider House in Mystic? My sis and I are going to visit our family in October and they may take us there-it sounds like such a cool place.

I've been to Mystic, but not there. Make sure you eat your meals at regular times (if you're going out to eat). We tried to have a late lunch at 4:00....NOTHING was open! They had been open for lunch earlier...then would open for dinner later! LOL

Thanks for the tip Erin! I'm excited about getting to go, they have come here but it's been a few years since I've been to Connecticut. I'll let you know how it goes. I know when we went to Austin Texas we were amazed how many things are closed on Sunday. I had thought it being the state capital more places would stay open.

Oh wow... You are talking about things being closed on Sundays... I was just talking about this with guests of mine the other day. I told them in Germany it's against the law to work on Sundays. That everything is closed. If you need gas for your car you better make sure you get it on Saturday because the station won't be open until Monday morning.
Oh then I remember my hubby's CO (comanding officer) One monday morning came in to work all ticked off. Seemed that the day before the German police gave him a ticket for washing his car in his own driveway on Sunday. Here we laughed because this was the way we were brought up. Yet I know other people are not.. so really it's not funny. ;D

Oh I love your socks. I just bought a pack of socks that are very bright and colorful. Some are black with fluorescent colored puzzle pieces. My daughter has a black light up in her room... They glow when I walk in there. My hubby is all excited about living in town for Halloween. We've lived out in the middle of no where for far too long... then so far back in the field away from the road, any decorations we would put up could not be seen by the occasional passers by. Last year was our first Halloween here. It was great. We actually had kids drop by! First time in over 20 years! So, he's been busy. No one around here has any Halloween decor up but us. He began to make tiny (about a foot or just larger) tall gravestones. He's putting them up in my front flowerbed. Every so many days I happen to find yet another one up there. Each are different. Now I wonder.... he was telling me he was planning to put up a graveyard in the front yard.. get bales of hay etc. But I think he was wondering if I was paying him any attention, because when I asked him who's names would be on the graves? I was thinking people in our family.. Mother in law... sister in law... names like that.. but he said.. Hey why not put one up that says Sirius Black, another for Dumbledore.. Even one for Aragog. I was sitting here typing to you guys.. then it hit me what he was saying... then when I dropped my jaw, he and daughter was laughing.. He went on to say with Aragog, he'll need a HUGE headstone. ;D
