Well it depends who was still in the order. I think that there would be more order members left is Mad-Eye and DD were still alive.
What if??? Dumbledore gave Tom Riddle the post as DADA professor. ;D Professor Riddle.

He at least would have been closer to Lily that way. And less contact with the deatheaters could only have helped.
What if McGonagall and Dumbledore had switched places-McGonagall became Headmaster and Dumbledore became head of Gryffindor House?
