I wonder if they taught any other magical creature's language up at the school? I mean, for some reason I thought that there were more classes offered than the trio took. I want to learn how to speak mermish.  |

I"ll let them then while they do all of the dirty work, I'd go take a nap, because once it's over... it's back to work again. Yep... me the house elf, needs a vacation already. LOL!

What if Fred and George's aging spell had worked and they were able to apply for the Triwizard? I do not believe that they would have been picked by the Goblet anyway. Though they did possess the abilities to create some really flashy magic as Hermione pointed out, I doubt that that is the kind of magic that the Goblet was really looking for in the merits of a Champion. |

Still... it's the thought... What IF they did get chosen? I think they would have really done something spectacular for their chosen ways to fight the dragon etc.

Considering how VAIN Tom Riddle/Voldemort was, do you think that Tom Riddle would have continued on his path of self destruction of his own appearance had he known in advance what was to become of him?

Interesting thought. I think he his vanity would make him want to do something about his future appearance. But I also think his thirst for power would refuse to let him stop his quest to make horcruxes. So maybe he would try to come up with a new spell so that the his looks could stay the same. However I'm betting it's impossible to practice the depth of evil that he did without it leaving it's mark on you physically. Interesting to think what he would come up with though.

I always wondered if he found this as a perk that just happened when he tried to accomplish immortality. I mean, he hated his muggle side to the point he killed off his remaining muggle family completely. Then he hated the fact that he resembled his muggle father to such a degree. It was like looking in the mirror and seeing the muggle side being more prevalant. I always wondered if he was also trying to litterally take out that muggle side within him self... as if to only leave the wizard side. Then another thing... he always liked to cause people to tremble and having a face like that would definately do the trick.  |

Oh goodness Duddah... You just brought back memories of Dobby's goofy question about something very similar.  really, I would worry about her being in labor. Can you imagine a being present during a Giantess' giving birth? Still, I would imagine Hagrid's being estatic. He'd love that child beyond anything, creature anyone he's ever met. I think he'd be perfect daddy. |

Well maybe the troll would still have brought them together! But I also wonder if they would have made a different third friend, maybe Luna?
I just realized it's so much fun just rifling through this thread-so much to get you thinking. I happened on What if DD had given Tom Riddle the DADA job and I wondered how long would it take DD to realize he made a mistake?
