Every once in a while, I think of something, and for a split second, I think that I'd like to get Duddah's take on it.... 🦉❤️⚡️ I know what you mean. I'm still doing it. I did it this morning. Then I thought to myself, I need to shake it off. Then I thought of a bird shaking it's feathers. Then I thought of an owl. Oh goodness, here we go again. (To be honest, I'm like that with all of you. That's why whenever I get back here I honestly say, that I think of you all every day.) |

Long weekend here in Canada, surely a HP marathon will be on. I always enjoyed discussing what we liked and disliked about the films with Duddahs Hey, I might do some of my posts like that. Still, I liked how people like Fangsfan and remember Eldarobetie from the old Quibbler Magazine thread at the WB. When there were too many people complaining about their dislikes, some people like these would help remind me that they were two different mediums of the same story.... that I needed to enjoy them both separately. In a small way, I've come to see it as a bonus. I mean, we ALL have the original, which is the books. And I've ALWAYS said that I LOVE to hear other people's point of views. You know, sometimes people change the books ever so slightly in their mind from the way the books really are. The movies are a collection of people's points of views put together. |

Erin..... those little emoji's are so sweet. Where are you getting them from? I see Fangsfan and NZ you guys are using them too.  If you guys are having trouble with the smileys or ANYTHING, shoot  some meatballs at me. If you already did, shoot me again in a Private Message so that I can find out work on those particular details. I remember something about images in the past. And something about using mobile phones, tablets or things other than the regular laptops or PC. PS- Just to let you all know, I have my personal settings set up to where I'd get an email sent to me, every time someone makes a post on certain threads, and of course ALL of my PM's you guys send/respond to me. |

Those emojis are from my iphone and ipad...they're extras on a different "keyboard" that you can add to anything (text, post, etc.). I can't access them on my PC, though, so when I'm on that, I just copy and paste from an old post. 🦉❤️⚡️

Whenever I post the numbers, I'm always reminded of how the last of the WB site numbers came to be.
Back when the WB site was about to close down, we all started posting a lot on that thread. During the last week, there was an individual (who's name always escapes me) who really committed to posting as often as possible. I think she posted something like 500 posts in the last few days of the site. I couldn't believe it, and was always amazed when I logged in to check the numbers.
To be honest, the HP numbers are probably larger, but 8400 is what I last remember them as, about a day or two before the site closed.

I got the Duddahs emoji from Erin, copy and pasted too.
I am one who usually likes the book better than the movie-but it's like you say Miss Charlotte, there are two different mediums and both have their positive points. I know I have found things in the movies that were not in the books that I really liked.

One thing that comes to mind right away was how in POA, director Alfonso Cuaron wanted Hogwarts students to wear their uniforms as they normally would. I know a few people had mixed views on that at the time, but I personally liked it, made it feel more "real"

Also, I was treated to a nice surprise today. There was a deleted scene from PS that I had never seen before until now, the one where Harry and Hagrid are in the London subway. I love the scene because it shows how large Hagrid is, especially compared to Harry!
